Nowra’s Olympic Swimming Pool will be closed on Sunday 6 February 2011 all day, as the Nowra Swimming Club will host the South Eastern Swimming Association’s Speedo Sprint Series Heats and Time Trials.
The Swimming Club is expecting about 400 swimmers to take part in the sprint series.
Aquatic Services Manager Kevin Norwood said people wishing to swim can go to the Bomaderry Aquatic Centre in Cambewarra Road, Bomaderry, which will be open from 10am to 5pm on the Sunday.
Council’s village swimming pools in Berry, Shoalhaven Heads, Greenwell Point and Kangaroo Valley will remain open on Sunday 6 February. Visit Council’s internet site at http://shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au/council/sections/Aquatic/Default.htm for opening times.
The Nowra Olympic Pool will resume operations on Monday 7 February, opening from 6am to 6pm.
